BACKGROUND

Evan is a 2021 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University's Duncan School of Law. He is licensed to practice both in  Virginia and Tennessee.

​As a part of his Virginia practice, Evan has handled an extensive amount of criminal defense matters, traffic matters, child custody matters, and both contested and uncontested divorce matters. In Tennessee, Evan primarily takes on uncontested divorce matters, child custody matters, and select criminal defense matters.

Evan has dedicated a significant amount of time researching and preparing for "third-party" custody matters (i.e. whenever a grandparent, sibling, aunt, uncle, or similar relation petitions for custody of a child as a person with a legitimate interest). Identifying the strengths and weaknesses in custody matters that focus on whether or not a party can "beat" the constitutional parental presumption is a regular part of Evan's role within the firm and he has been successful in both litigating and negotiating final orders allowing third-party individuals to obtain legal and physical custody in matters that other attorneys have avoided. ​​​

Evan's experience since becoming licensed includes numerous multi-day custody hearings, criminal trials both at the district level and on appeal, trials on various traffic misdemeanors and infractions, success in the Virginia Court of Appeals, negotiating thousands of favorable results in traffic and criminal matters, and successfully negotiating many favorable resolutions in custody and divorce matters. ​
